Player of the Week – Dewald Potgieter
28 May 2012

After two false starts to the 2012 season, Dewald Potgieter finally had an opportunity to show the Vodacom Bulls fans what they have been missing from this tearaway flanker.

Potgieter was massive against the Chiefs last weekend and showed his worth with an eye-catching display in Hamilton.

He ran strongly and with purpose with ball in hand, proved to be the perfect link man between backs and forwards, managed to slow down Chiefs ball and made a number of crunching tackles.

It was pretty much the perfect example of loose forward play in a match that had a number of international loose forwards competing.

After first slicing his arm on glass and then pulling a hamstring in his first match of the season, Potgieter missed almost three months of action.

The blonde flanker is back with a bang and it could not have come sooner for the Bulls.
