The performance of the Vodacom Blue Bulls No 8 against the Pumas makes him the player of the week amongst a couple of stand-out players on Friday.
Stander’s contribution was immense in all facets of play. He was exceptional as a ball carrier, getting over the advantage line on numerous occasions, defended very well around the fringes and in general plays and showed great tactical awareness in his distribution and support play.
His try after 30 minutes, after he broke through two defenders, also swung the momentum towards the Blue Bulls for a final time.
