No real surprises in weekend’s club rugby results
20 July 2010 (08:22)
There were no real surprises in the results of club rugby matches played on the weekend.
At the Tuks Rugby-stadium, the home side could find some revenge in beating Police 44-22. The visitors of course last year won the Carlton final by beating Tuks, who scored six tries on the weekend. Police could only reply with two from left wing, Michael Nienaber.
In the match between Fezelas and Police 2, the home side won 31-25, also reversing an earlier defeat.
Tuks Jongspan was in excellent form and demolished the previously unbeaten Police u.21 side by 56-14.
In the TUT-stadium, the home side had to wait for a last minute penalty to beat Centurion with 22-20.
Silwer Valke had too many guns for the struggling Harlequins and scored eigtht tries in a 53-19 win.
Full results and points scorers, as compiled by Johanna de Vos, is available in the results section of the website.
