Polokwane to honour Ruben Kruger

A minute of silence will be observed on Saturday before the kick-off of the Vodacom Super 14 warm-up match between the Vodacom Bulls and the Auto & General Lions in the new Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, in honour of the former Blue Bulls and Springbok player, Ruben Kruger who passed away during the past week.
A record crowd for Limpopo is expected for the game and according to match promoter, Willem Strauss, as many as 30 000 spectators could attend the match in the new stadium. A Test atmosphere prevails in Polokwane and the match will be attended, by amongst others, the Premier of Limpopo, Mr Cassel Mathale and several of his Executive Committee.
Proceedings at the stadium commence on Friday night with a music festival. Xerox has announced that the Player of the Match will receive R10 000.
Strauss also confirmed that Saturday's program will kick-off at 13:00 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium. As a result of the high rainfall in Polokwane the past week, the playing surface is very wet, and therefore the pool matches in the @lantic 7's schools series have been moved to the fields of Pietersburg High School.
Tickets for the match are available at Computicket, the offices of the Limpopo Blue Bulls and will also be available on Saturday at the Stadium at R100 (main pavilion) and R80 and R60 (open pavilion).
