Lock Wilhelm Steenkamp is back in the Blue Bulls team to play EP Kings in a Vodacom Cup quarterfinals match at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.
Steenkamp was on Super Rugby duty last weekend and will not only takes over the captaincy from Wiaan Liebenberg, but also the No 5 lock berth from Schalk van Heerden, who moves to the bench in place of Nqubeko Zulu.
Coach Nollis Marais made a couple of changes to the team that outclassed Griffons last weekend.
Most significant is the inclusion of Handrè Pollard at flyhalf ahead of Willie du Plessis, while Jean Cook has been included at No 8, with Nardus van der Walt moving to flank, with Jacques du Plessis released to the Junior Springboks.
Hencus van Wyk is also picked at tighthead, after he made his Vodacom Super Rugby debut for the Vodacom Bulls last weekend when he came off the bench against the Waratahs. He replaces Louis Albertse.
On the bench, Willie du Plessis replaces Tony Jantjies and a fit againTravis Ismaiel takes over from Vainon Willis. Ruan Snyman will be the replacement scrumhalf, with Lohan Jacobs dropping out.
