Tickets for the Vodacom Bulls’ showdown with the MTN Golden Lions at Orlando Stadium on 2 February will be on sale at Computicket outlets countrywide from tomorrow morning. Frans Ludeke’s team will be looking to start the new year on a winning note after an intensive pre-season camp while their opponents will be equally eager to cause a pre-season upset.
Tickets cost R40 each for general, unreserved seating and can be purchased online at www.computicket.com, at any Computicket outlet countrywide or alternatively by dialling 0861 915 8000.
This match, dubbed the Gauteng Rugby Cup, forms part of the Gauteng Sports Challenge Benefit hosted by the Gauteng Department of Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation in conjunction with Ultimate Sporting Concepts.
Returning to Orlando Stadium will evoke memories of the Vodacom Bulls’ magnificent feats in the 2010 Vodacom Super 14 competition that ultimately saw the team being crowned champions and will also serve as additional motivation for Pierre Spies and the boys who will officially kick off the Blue Bulls Rugby Union’s (BBRU) 75th Anniversary celebrations in Soweto.
For the Bulls’ faithful, veterans and legends, the Gauteng Rugby Cup will bring back memories of the first ever encounter between the Northern Transvaal Rugby Union against Transvaal on 18 April 1938.
A host of festivities and live entertainment will precede the Vodacom Bulls versus MTN Golden Lions match, scheduled to kick off at 3pm. Gates open at 12pm. Hospitality packages are also available and can be purchased from Ultimate Sporting Concepts (lebo@hospitalityunlimited.co.za) and SAIL (www.sail.co.za or bookings@sail.co.za).
