Injuries, personal reasons and a national sevens call-up resulted in Vodacom Blue Bulls Under-19 coach Paul Anthony making five changes to his squad that will play KwaZulu/Natal at Loftus Versfeld on Friday in the Absa Under-19 Provincial Championship.
Try scoring ace Ruwellyn Isbell has been called up by national sevens coach Paul Treu, Roelof Smit, and Jacques du Plessis have niggles and will be rested and Leneve Damens was given time-off to be with his sick father. Francois Tredoux has the flu and a final call on his availability will be made on Friday.
All had to be replaced from the side that outclassed the Leopards in Potchefstroom last weekend.
Wandi Sompontsha will start at wing in place of Isbell and Juan Smit will start at flyhalf in place of Tredoux.
Christiaan de Bruin comes into the loose trio in place of Smit and Jannes Kirsten will play lock in Du Plessis’ place. Jacques Taylor, Ferdi Horn and Clyde Davids are new faces on the bench, whilst Dalton Kannemeyer could lose out on his bench spot, should Tredoux recover from the flu.
